Description
The Old Tea Shop is a row of cottages that includes a shop and one cottage, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of Flemish bond red brick and has a red pantile roof. The building is two storeys high and features five windows. On the ground floor, there are three windows under cambered arches, with two outer sashes that have glazing bars and a central replacement 20th-century plate glass window. Additionally, there is a 20th-century bowed shop window and two boarded doors with glazed upper lights. The first floor has two outer sashes with glazing bars, two inner windows that are blocked and plastered, and one central 20th-century plate glass window inserted into the original opening. The building has an attic dentil eaves cornice and features one ridge and one external gable stack at the north end, both with set offs.
