11-16, Wellington Road

This is a terrace of six houses located on Wellington Road in Great Yarmouth, built in the early 1840s. The houses are constructed of gault brick and topped with 20th-century concrete tile roofs. Most of the terrace is three storeys high, except for Nos. 11 and 16 at either end, which are two storeys. No. 11 has been raised to three storeys with a flat roof in the late 20th century. The terrace features a 12-window range, with each house having a doorway beneath a plain fanlight and a canted bay that extends to the full height. No. 14 has a distinctive leaded fanlight. The ground floor is stuccoed and rusticated, and all ground-floor and second-floor windows are late 20th-century top-hung casements. There is a continuous cast-iron balcony at the first-floor level of Nos. 12-15 in front of French doors. Nos. 12-15 have hipped roofs, while No. 16 has a lower hipped roof, and No. 11 has a flat felt roof. The terrace features three transverse stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
