Description

This is a terrace of three houses located on Waterloo Road in Great Yarmouth, built in the mid-19th century. The houses are constructed from gault brick, with No. 3 and the ground floor of No. 5 being colourwashed. The roof is a combination of slate and concrete tiles.

The exterior features three storeys with a six-window range. The north front shows that each property has two bays, each consisting of a doorway and a full-height canted window bay. Above the doors, there is one window on each floor, all set under gauged skewback arches. The windows are late 20th-century top-hung casements, while the doors are also late 20th-century glazed doors, framed by doorcases with panelled reveals and cornices. Between the doors to Nos. 3 and 4, there is an additional panelled reveal and a door leading to a passage at the rear, which is a 19th-century door with two vertical panels. The roof is hipped, slated for No. 5 and covered with concrete tiles for the others. There is a transverse ridge stack located between Nos. 4 and 5, and a second stack on the rear roof slope of No. 5.

The west return features three bays, with the ground floor colourwashed. It has a central door and late 20th-century side windows. The first floor includes a French window with 2/2 glazing bars and a pediment that opens onto a balustraded balcony, flanked by two late 20th-century top-hung casements. The second floor has two similar casements separated by a round-headed window with a 1/1 configuration.

Inside, there is a stick-baluster staircase with a ramped and wreathed handrail.
