Description
Manor Farm Garage is a former barn associated with the Manor House, dating from the late 17th century and later. It is constructed of brick and colourwashed brick, topped with a thatched roof. The building has an 'L' shaped plan, featuring a principal range that runs north-south and a lower gabled wing to the east. There is a mid-20th century two-storey extension added to the north. The original barn doors have been blocked, and new openings have been created at storey height on the west side. Shallow buttresses flank the former eastern opening. The structure includes brick kneelers and parapet gables. The east wing has an inserted opening, brick corbelled eaves, and a hipped roof. The main barn roof, dating from the late 18th century, consists of 11 bays with pine principals and butt purlins. The building is included for its group value with the Manor House.
