Description

The Manor House is a former farmhouse that underwent rebuilding in the late 17th century, originally dating back to the 16th century. It is constructed of brick and features a black and red pantiled roof. The house consists of three cells, two storeys, and attics, with a single-storey range to the west. The main facade faces south and includes a central late 19th-century raised and fielded panel door with a circular panel. A gabled timber porch extends to the east of a late 19th-century canted bay window that has seven lights and a transom. To the west of the door, there are two three-light transomed casement windows from the 19th century. The first floor has three four-light casement windows, also from the 19th century. The gables have parapets with brick kneelers, tumbling-in, and end stacks. There are two gabled dormers on the south side featuring 20th-century two-light casements.

The north elevation reveals a large section of 16th-century brickwork of two types, with blocked openings. The windows are a mix of replacement hollow chamfer mullion windows with wrought iron lights. The first floor has 17th-century iron ties. The single-storey 17th-century kitchen wing has a central boarded door on the south side, flanked by casement windows. The west parapet gable includes tie irons, brick kneelers, and tumbling-in. Inside, there is a straight flight of oak stairs with a 17th-century turned balustrade on the landing. The bridging beams are chamfered and feature ogee nicked stops. There is a winding staircase against the west stack leading to the attics, and the roof has double staggered butt purlins.
