Description

Avenue Farmhouse Barn is a mid-18th century five-stead barn constructed of red brick, featuring a thatched and asbestos roof. It has a continuous outshut to the west and 'L' shaped plan outbuildings attached to the east. There are two openings for barn doors on the east side, along with ventilation slots positioned between stepped brick buttresses. The barn has parapet gables that include brick kneelers and brick tumbling. Additionally, there is an opening in the gable with a segmental brick arch and an owl hole above it. The outbuildings have hipped pantile roofs.
