Description

Rookery Farm Barn is a five-stead barn, built in 1810, constructed of red brick and covered with red and black pantiles. The south face features two pairs of barn doors, flanked by shallow brick buttresses at the corners and beside the doors. Above the doors are curved oak lintels that support segmental brick arches, which include dated and initialled key bricks. Each bay has a single ventilation slit. The barn has brick dentil eaves and hipped roofs, with a catslide roof on the north side. Inside, there is an opposed butt purlin roof, with tie beams supported by knees, and a flagstone threshing floor.
