Description

The Post Office, House of Reverend Easton, Oakdene and Church Hill House is a corner shop and three terraced houses built in the 19th century. The building has an 'L'-shaped plan and stands two storeys high, featuring rear out-shuts. It is constructed from red brick and colourwashed brick, topped with slate roofs.

The south wing consists of six bays and includes a double shop window with a central door located on the corner splay to the left. The windows are fitted with glazing bars and are complemented by a timber panelled plinth and pilasters with a key pattern that support the fascia and blind box. To the right of the shop, there are windows alternating with doors, each having blank windows above them.

The east wing has two bays and features a door on the right side. The windows here are sash windows with glazing bars, set beneath gauged brick segmental arches. The doorcases are adorned with moulded pilasters, patera stops, and a projecting cornice. A shallow buttress is present at the east end of the east wing. At the rear, the building displays a mix of steel and timber casement windows. The hipped roofs have moulded timber eaves and are topped with three axial stacks.
