Description

Magpie House is a mid-19th century house and shop constructed of red brick and tiled roofs. The building has an 'L' shape, with two storeys and single-storey additions to the north and east. The front facade features three sash windows with glazing bars, each with a segmental brick arch above on the first floor. A central half-glazed six-panel door is set within a doorcase featuring moulded pilasters, patera stops, and a projecting cornice. A 20th-century inserted door and sash window are visible to the right. The eaves have brick dentil detailing, and the left-hand parapet has a gable stack. A weatherboarded gable is located at the right-hand end. A rear wing has parapet eaves and a gable chimney stack. The property is included on the list solely because of its group value.
