TG 22 SW BUXTON WITH LAMMAS BROOK STREET (west side) 6/12 DUDWICK COTTAGE.

House. Possibly C17 in origin with C18 remodelling and C19 block to north, forming double pile. Limewashed brick; flint with red brick dressings at south-west corner. Pantiled roofs, hipped over C19 range. Two storeys and attics; later range of two storeys. Two and three light casements with leaded glazing and Gothick heads. Off-centre doorway with later gabled porch. Chimney stacks off-centre and at west gable. Parapeted gables with brick tumbling and plain string course. Flat-roofed dormer with Gothick casement. Pantiled two storey lean-to at east gable. Brick dentil eaves. Catslide extension on north side. C19 range to north-west : three light casement windows. Rubbed arches over openings. Bay window with lead roof in west wall; sash window above. Moulded brick modillion eaves. Some C20 casements. Interior : one beam with stepped run-out chamfers. Simple C18 staircase with turned newels and plain balusters.
