Description

This is a barn located 70 yards north-west of Griston Hall, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed with a timber frame, featuring weatherboarding and some clay lump. The barn has a gabled roof covered in corrugated iron and a brick plinth with a sole plate. There is a full-height door positioned to the right of the center, and an entrance outshut at the rear that is covered with pantiles. Inside, the barn has pegged wall posts, tie beams supported by arched braces with struts to the principals, collars, and two tiers of staggered butt purlins.
