Description
This building is a barn located 30 meters south-west of Swainsthorpe Hall, dating from the early 18th century. It features a timber frame with wattle and daub infill, along with later brick additions, and is topped with a pantiled roof. The barn has tarred infill on a brick plinth. It includes full-height central doors on the east side and lower opposing doors on the west side. The roof is gabled and the complete timber frame consists of light scantling with arched braces at the corners. The roof structure includes tie beams supported by arched braces, two tiers of butt purlins, and collars.
