Description
The building is a former threshing barn located immediately north of Hall Farm House, dating from the early 17th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weather boarded, with the gable facing the road partly underbuilt in red brick. The barn features a steeply pitched roof covered in corrugated iron and consists of five structural bays. On the east side, there is a large double door waggon entrance with a monopitch porch roof. The west side has a whitewashed brick and pantile lean-to porch, and there is a small stable door in the south gable. Inside, the barn has jowled posts with tie beams, although some arch braces are missing and have been replaced with timber knees. There are braces to the corner posts, and the roof structure includes upper clasped purlins and lower staggered butt purlins. This building is included for its group value.
