Description

Park Farm House is a farmhouse with a plan from the 16th and 17th centuries that was reconstructed in the 18th and 19th centuries. The building features rendered clay lump and half-timbering, topped with a roof made of black glazed pantiles and corrugated tiles. Originally designed with a through passage and a single pile plan, the house has a two-storey range to the right that dates back to the early 18th century. There is a 20th-century entrance porch with two casement windows to the right, and two 19th-century cross-mullioned timber casements on the first floor, which are set under segmental arches. The gabled roof has four random stacks, and the north gable is timber framed. To the left of the porch, there is a mid-19th century extension made of gault brick, featuring a bay window below and a cross casement above. A gabled porch to the left leads to a single-storey service wing. The rear of the house has a central door and scattered windows, with half-timbering below the eaves. The south gable wall was rebuilt in the 20th century.

Inside, there are remnants of a timber entrance architrave, which includes a braced four-centred arch from the 16th century. The ground floor features a spine beam with chamfer and wave stops from the 18th century. The roof has two staggered butt purlins, which are enclosed by a later 19th-century roof that includes tie beams and collars.
