Description
Broomhill Farm House is a farmhouse that originally dates from the 17th century but has been entirely altered in the late 19th century and later. It is constructed from rendered brick and clay lump, topped with tiled gabled roofs, and has a T-shaped plan. The building is two storeys high with an attic.
The entrance features a gabled porch with a two-light brick cross mullioned casement above, sheltered by a hood. There are projecting gabled bays on both the left and right sides, each with pedimented three-light brick casements. Similar windows are found on the left and right returns, along with attic windows under the gables. There is an outshut to the south and the south facade displays various hooded and pedimented windows. At the rear, there is another outshut. The house has one double and one triple shafted stack with a foiled section and star caps, which may date back to the 17th century.
