Description
The Lodge is a lodge built in the 1820s, constructed from flint with gault brick dressings and a slate roof. It is a single-storey building with a brick plinth. To the left of the central arched doorway, which features a hollow hood moulding, there is a canted bay. The central bay contains a similar door adorned with Gothick intersecting tracery beneath a clock. On either side of the central door, there are Y traceried arched casements that continue along the west range. A painted cross mullioned brick casement, which is likely from the 1870s, is located under an ovolu pediment to the right of the central door. A similar window can be found on the east gable. The building has a dentiled eaves cornice beneath gabled roofs, which feature bargeboards on the east side. There are also a pair of octagonal twin-shafted stacks over the west range.
