Description
The lodge to Merton Hall Gardens is a mid-19th century building constructed of brick, featuring gabled roofs made of corrugated tiles and designed in a Greek cross plan. It is a single storey with an attic. The lodge has timber cross mullioned windows that are set under chamfered segmental arches. Each of the four gables has shouldered profiles on kneelers, complete with coping, and all gables are topped with finials. The building also has a dentiled eaves cornice and three attic lights, along with a central stack that has twin shafts. There is a late 20th century flat-topped extension on the southeast side.
