Description
The lodge to Shirenewton Hall is a two-storey building with an attic, constructed in a Tudorbethan style to complement the older Shirenewton Hall. It features roughcast walls, likely over stone rubble, with ashlar dressings and a stone slate roof. The lodge has a cross-gable on the right side and 2-light mullioned windows beneath rectangular hoods. A solid porch with a pediment and slender Doric columns is present, along with a lean-to stone slated extension on the left. The entrance has a modern door. The gables include small oculi, and the gable parapets are adorned with ball finials and kneelers. The steeply pitched roof is topped with a central tall stack that has four flues. The gable facing the drive is blind on the ground floor, while another gable is located at the rear facing the garden. The building was not available for inspection at the time of resurvey.
