Description
The gates, gatepiers, railings, and walls at Shirenewton Hall are notable features from the 19th century. The central gates are made of gilded iron and are flanked by rusticated ashlar gate piers. These main gatepiers are topped with classical finials that have flame glass lamps sitting on balls. The side walls have plain ashlar piers and the railings curve to the left, connecting to the stable range. To the right, the structure adjoins the tall, sloped wall of the old walled garden, which is now the wall of Stoneycroft House. This listing also includes the doorway leading to the Lodge garden.
