Description

NZ 4213 EGGLESCLIFFE THE GREEN (North side) 34/479 Gate Piers, Gate and Walls to East, West and South of The Hall, with Summer-house in North Corner II

Early-mid c19. West of The Hall a pair of tall red brick gate piers with stone entablature and low pyramidal stops support wrought iron double gate. At either side tall red brick walls with low curved stone coping, the southern section ramped down in places to form a lower wall along the south front. In extreme north-east corner a little summer house with rendered walls and a conical fish scale slated roof.
