Country house, north-west wing only. 1846 by Edward Blore. Brick with stone dressings and plain tiled roofs. 2½ storeys in Jacobean style. Door left of centre with semi-circular moulded surround from Woodbastwick Hall. Cross mullioned sash windows, 3 to right one to left, of 2 or 3 lights. 5 similar windows to first floor. Octagonal corner turrets. Moulded brick eaves cornice with dentils. 3 stepped gable dormers through eaves line with. 2-light sashes. All windows hood moulded. Recessed bay to left and C20 extension beyond in same style. Rainwater heads dated 1847 with square downpipes between bays. Gabled roof with elaborate multiple stacks, that to north external. North facade of 3 storeys and attic. Battlemented 2 storey bay with cross mullioned sashes under shallow pediments. String courses at division of floors. Corner turrets capped by mitres flank stepped gable containing 3-light and 2-light sashes under pediments. Rear elevation similar. Brick wall with toothed eaves cornice and, coped parapet runs north to form octagonal gate piers capped with stone eagles. Return wall to west of punched balustrading leads to gatehouse.
