Description
Nos. 3, 5, and 7 on Norwich Road in Thetford are a pair of houses dating from the early 19th century. They are constructed from pebbles and cut flint, with gault brick dressings, while No. 7 features 20th-century red brick dressings. The houses have a pantiled roof and are two storeys high, with three wide window bays. No. 3 has a four-panelled door and an unhorned 6/6 sash window on the left with exposed boxes, both featuring segmental heads. There is one 3/3 sash window on the first floor. Nos. 5 and 7 have late 20th-century doors and replacement sash windows on the ground floor, all under segmental heads, and each house has one 4/8 sash window on the first floor. The eaves cornice features dentil detailing beneath the gabled roof. There is a rebuilt internal gable-end stack on the west side and a gault brick ridge stack located right of centre. The rear of the houses has late 20th-century casements with openings remade in yellow brick. The interior has not been inspected.
