Description
This is a pair of houses located at 40 and 42 Earls' Street, built around 1820. They are constructed from flint with gault brick dressings and have a pantile roof. The buildings are two storeys high and feature three bays. There are two central 20th-century doors, which are separated by a door leading to a plank passageway, all of which are set under segmental arches. To the right, there is an 8/8 horned sash window, while to the left is a 6/6 replacement window, both with segmental heads. The first floor has three 6/6 segmental sash windows. The houses also have a dentil eaves cornice and a gabled roof with internal gable-end stacks on both the right and left sides. The interior has not been inspected.
