Astwick Manor (British Aerospace Technical School)

Astwick Manor, now serving as the headquarters for the British Aerospace Technical School, is a manor house dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It has undergone alterations and extensions at both ends during the 19th and 20th centuries. The original structure features a five-window center made of chequered red brick and stands two stories tall with attics. It has a plain tiled roof and a floor band. A gabled wooden porch from the 19th century is present, along with segmental heads on the ground floor and three gabled attics. The windows are 19th-century casements, and there are one-window gable-ended extensions. The building is capped with three tall chimney stacks at either end, each with stepped brick upper courses.
