Description
Stoke Manor is a manor house that dates from the 17th century, with additions from the 18th and late 19th centuries. It is constructed of brick, with some tile hanging, and features a tiled roof. The main building is two storeys high and has a four-bay core block, with a rear stair extension on the left side. There are stacks located on the left gable and between the third and fourth bays. The building was extended to the left by two bays in the 18th century, which likely included raising it to three storeys. A canted bay on the right side also probably dates from the 18th century. There are further rear extensions from the early 19th and 20th centuries.
On the front, there is a single-storey service wing on the left and a porch from the late 19th century, which is wide and partly timber framed. The windows have gauged brick lintels with cambered soffits and timber casement windows, with alterations likely made in the late 19th century. The left extension features a two-storey window. The roof is half hipped at both ends. At the rear, there is a 17th-century stack associated with the fourth bay. Inside, the manor has spine beams with bar stops and a Tudor arched fireplace, which is probably a later addition.
