Description
Nos 7 and 8 are a pair of estate houses built for the Ailesbury Estate around 1860 to 1870. They are constructed of red brick with buff brick dressings and decorative patterning, topped with a fishtail slate roof. The buildings are two storeys high, featuring one bay and a rear bay, with No 7 having a two-bay cross wing. There is a rear lean-to with a half-glazed and panelled door. The windows are timber casements, and the buff brick is used for flush quoins, segmental heads, and window quoins, with a decorative pattern below the windows that includes some dark red brick. The houses have carved bargeboards and a bracket supporting the projecting ridge. The roof is half-hipped on the right side and features gabled dormers.
