Description

Nos 9 and 10 are a pair of estate houses built for the Ailesbury Estate around 1860 to 1880. They are constructed from red and buff brick and feature fishtail slates on the roof. The houses are two storeys high and have a symmetrical design, with each house consisting of one bay and an open gable brick porch. The windows are timber casements, with those on the upper floor rising into a raised section of the roof. The buff brick is arranged in vertical panels, and there are tall central stacks with six flues that are bonded at the heads.
