Description

The Old Cottage is a house from the late 17th century, built with a timber frame and weatherboarded exterior. It features a plain tile roof with an internal stack at the north gable end. The building has one storey and a single gable attic dormer. The north gable displays exposed half timber and brick nogging. The windows are glazing bar casements, and there is a central half-glazed door with a glazing bar fan above it. Inside, you will find a chamfered floor beam and fireplace lintel, along with a central early 19th-century staircase. Additionally, there is an external bread oven attached to the fireplace on the rear elevation.
