Description

The Old Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century. It is timber framed and features modern roughcast on plaster and red brick. The building has one storey and attics, topped with a clasped purlin roof covered in old tiles, which includes two gabled dormers and a red brick chimney stack at the southwest end. The front of the cottage has two sloping buttresses and two casement windows. There is a cross wing on the southwest with a tile-hung gablet above the ridge.
