Description

Wayside Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century. It features a timber frame with clunch and plaster walls, and a brick plinth. The roof is covered with modern pantiles and the building has two storeys. There are two windows on the front; the upper floor has glazing bar casements, while the ground floor has sash windows. The entrance is marked by a panelled door with a moulded wood reveal. A rebuilt ridge stack is located on the left centre of the cottage, and the right gable end has an upper floor that jetties out on straight brackets.
