Description

This is a house, originally a farmhouse, dating to around 1670, with later additions from the early 18th century and the 19th century. The house is timber-framed, with a painted brick ground floor and plastered upper floor, and has a steep-pitched plain tile roof. It is two storeys and has attics. The front elevation features a deep, wooden modillioned eaves cornice and a heavy moulded brick floor band. There are three 19th-century sash windows on the front, with one to the left of the door and two to the right. A single-storey plastered extension from the 18th or 19th century is attached to the front left. The gable ends have attics. On the rear left is an early 18th-century barn addition. The upper floor of the main house has exposed timber framing and painted brick infill. A late 17th-century chimney stack is located on the rear right. Attached to the rear right are three barns dating from the 18th or 19th century, with a corrugated iron roof. The barn closest to the house has painted clunch walls and a pantile roof.
