Description

The Old Cottage is a house built in two phases, with a low 16th century range at the front and a taller range at the rear left, likely from the 17th century. It features a timber frame, a 19th century brick plinth, and roughcast walls, topped with plain and machine tile roofs. The building has two storeys and includes three casement windows: one on the ground floor to the left and Yorkshire casements in the right bay. A wide ridge chimney stack is situated between the two left bays. The right bay is thought to have been a barn addition and includes a lean-to rear addition. The rear left extension has a taller roof and features a small attic window in the exposed gable, along with two small wood casements and a plank door.
