Description
A dovecote and granary, dating from the late 17th century, largely rebuilt in the late 18th century. It is situated 30 metres southwest of Dixies Farm, in Ashwell. The building is constructed of red brick, with some chequered detailing, and has a hipped roof covered with plain tiles and featuring louvred gablets. The plan is square. Two storeys high, the building has dentilled brick eaves. The south elevation has plank doors on both the ground and first floors. The lower part of the ground floor incorporates some 17th-century bricks.
