Description

This is an 18th-century brick facade applied to a 17th-century timber-framed cottage, situated in Lemsford Village, north-west of Hatfield. The cottage range has a red brick exterior with headers of burnt brick and a modern red-tile, gable-end roof. It is a single storey with attics, featuring four leaded casement windows and four similar gabled dormers. The left-hand door is an 18th-century design with flush panels and two glazed panes. A large chimney stack with joined square shafts is present, alongside a stack on the south-west gable end.
