Description

This is a 17th-century timber-frame cottage situated on the north side of Vineyards Road, Northaw and Cuffley. It is a two-bay building with a gable end facing west. The external surfaces are plastered, and it has a steep-pitched roof covered in plain tiles. The north elevation features a casement gabled dormer window to the left. A red brick chimney stack, dating from the 18th century, is also present. Inside, the front room has exposed ceiling joists. There is a window, a door, and a lean-to addition to the right-hand side, as well as a first storey and attic.
