Description
The Old Vicarage, originally the Rectory, is a house built in 1752 with late 18th century additions on either side. The central part features grey brick headers, while the additions are primarily in red brick, except for the ground floor of the right side, which has red brick dressings. The building has a parapeted machine tile roof with internal end chimney stacks and stands two storeys tall over a sunken basement. The five-window centre has thick-glazing-bar flush sash windows set in segmental heads. The central door is six-fielded panel, recessed within an architrave surround and topped with a console hood. Each wing has one window with thin glazing bars, and the right wing includes a ground floor relieving arch.
