Description

This is a house, originally a bakery, located in Northaw. The core of the building dates back to the 17th century, but it was substantially refronted in the early 19th century and further extended towards the road with the addition of 9A in the late 19th century. The construction is primarily red brick, with plastering on the front. The roof is covered with plain tiles, and the late 19th-century extension features dentilled eaves. The left-hand section of the house, a three-window facade, includes a floor band and a central door with a reeded panel surround, a blocked segmental fanlight, and a hood with scrolled brackets. Segmental-headed windows are present on the ground floor, with a narrower central window. Modern metal casements fill the window openings.
