8/215 Gate lodges and gates at SE entrance to 30.3.66 Hatfield Park (Pepper Pot)

Pair of lodges. Left lodge may be early C17. External detail on left hand lodge, and whole of right hand lodge are early-mid Cl9. Red brick with stone dressings. Octagonal left lodge is single storey with dressed stone plinth and band of pierced stonework in quatrefoil pattern. Stone cornice and pyramid plain tile roof. Right lodge is 2 storeys with similar plinth and stone band. Octagonal with square right addition. Paired and single upper storey casements. Traceried brick parapet. Chimney stack with arrises. Simple C19 cast iron gates with quatrefoil openwork square piers.
