Description
This barn, located about 100 meters north of Woodoaks Farm House, is likely from the 16th century. It features a timber frame set on a brick base and is weatherboarded with a tiled roof. The barn consists of five bays and has double doors in the center bay on both sides. Inside, there are large arched braces connecting lightly jowled posts to straight tie beams. The roof has a lower king strut design, with triple struts extending from the tie beams to collars and lower purlins, which are clasped by principals. Curved angled queen struts connect the collars to the upper purlins, also clasped, and there are double rows of curved wind braces. The sheds attached to the south side are not of special interest.
