Description
The building immediately northwest of Woodoaks Farm House is a former small house or part of a larger farmhouse, now used as a storage building. It dates from the 16th century or early 17th century and features a timber frame with red brick casing and some weatherboarding, topped by a tiled roof. The structure has a two-bay open hall that was probably once longer. The entrance front, which faces the 19th-century house (not listed), has been rebuilt using 20th-century timbers and brick nogging. The right gable end facing the yard has a large external stack from the 17th century, which is truncated and has offsets. There is an entrance with a segmental head at the front, while the left gable end is weatherboarded. At the rear, there is a continuous outshut under a catslide roof. Inside, the building features arched braces to the tie beams, queen struts to the collars clasping the purlins, curved braces in the walling, two curved windbraces, and a timber lintel over a large open fireplace.
