Description

This large section of garden wall, located about 40 meters southwest of Home Farm House, was once part of the kitchen garden for Moor Park and dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century. Constructed of red brick, it primarily features English bond with some sections in Flemish bond. The wall runs parallel to the road and consists of two or more builds, with return walls at the center and right. It stands approximately 3 to 4 meters high and includes a large cart opening with a segmental head. Towards the left end, there is a smaller opening that features stone steps, timber jambs, and a lintel leading to another segmental head. The wall is supported by pilaster buttresses topped with tiles, and it has a tile coping and a plain plinth. The left end of the wall has a thicker base that steps up with raking courses, while the right return wall features a curved ramp at the end, along with an added raking buttress.
