9/182 Garden Wall about 40m SW of Home Farm House (not listed)

Large section of garden wall formerly enclosing kitchen garden to Moor Park (q.v.). Probably late C17 or early C18. Red brick, largely English bond, some Flemish bond. Long wall parallel to road of two or more builds with return walls to centre and right. About 3m to 4m high. Large cart opening with a segmental head. Towards left end a smaller opening with stone steps, timber jambs and lintel to segmental head. Pilaster buttresses with tile caps. Tile coping. Plain plinth. Left end has a thicker base stepped up with raking courses. Right return wall has curved ramp down at end. Raking buttress added.
