Description
The Corn Mill, now a warehouse, dates from the 16th to 17th century and features a timber frame that was cased in mauve brick between 1890 and 1895, with bricks that are dated. The northern end has early 19th-century casing that forms a small three-bay barn. It has a plain tile roof and a long frontage, mostly two storeys high with attics. The building includes two-light recessed Yorkshire casements, which are mostly segmental-headed. The southern part has three framed gabled dormers with three-light casements. In the centre, there is a taller late 19th-century front with a slate roof and a weatherboarded gable and dormer. A tall hoist door leads to the first floor. The barn features a weatherboarded gable end facing the road, which was formerly an entrance porch. Inside, there are tie beams and curved braces, with the main interior showcasing 17th or 18th-century floor divisions and partitions.
