Description
Southend Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the 17th century or earlier. It features a timber frame that has been cased in painted brick and roughcast. The roof is made of plain tiles and is half hipped at the northern end. There is a late 18th century or early 19th century rear extension on the southern side, creating an L-shaped plan. The building has two storeys and the front facade includes three casement windows. Above the slightly projecting brick ground floor, there is a plank band. On the rear slope of the roof, there are two 17th century chimney stacks, with the southern one having four joined shafts. The front door is located on the right and has a simple hood supported by cut brackets. The interior likely consists of three bays. The rear range features dentilled brick eaves and two segmental-headed sash windows.
