Description
Hogg End Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 16th century, with a larger wing added in the mid-17th century. It features a timber frame, with the wing displaying exposed framing and plaster, while the earlier section is encased in 20th-century red brick. The roof is covered with plain tiles and the building has a T plan layout. The garden elevation consists of two bays on either side of a half bay center. A prominent central ridge chimney stack is adorned with six diagonal-set shafts on a dentilled brick base. There are six original window spaces still visible, with 19th-century glazing bar casements, while the earlier section has 20th-century casements. Inside, the farmhouse has two bays featuring a clasped purlin roof and curved wind braces. Additionally, there is a further single-storey barn from the late 17th century located at the left end.
