Description
No 8A on Fishpool Street is a 17th-century timber-framed building that was partly re-fronted in the late 18th century to match the adjoining Holmhurst. It has two storeys and features one window. The exterior is finished in brown brick with red brick cornice and dressings, and a brown brick parapet. The high-pitched tiled roof adds to its character. The building has gauged red brick arches over sash windows, which include glazing bars, as well as over the door that features a cornice head and fanlight, all set in stucco-lined reveals. On the east side, there is a two-storey projecting section of the original building, which has a blank rendered wall and a jettied first floor beneath the high-pitched tiled roof, along with one window on the ground floor.
