Description
1 and 3 Fishpool Street are a pair of houses built around 1700, each featuring two storeys and two windows with a central door. Number 1 has a carriageway on the left side. The houses have moderately high pitched tiled roofs, with Number 1 having a slightly lower pitched roof over its two left-hand bays. The front of Number 1 is stuccoed with a brick plinth, while Number 3 has a stuccoed plinth with moulded coping. Number 3 also features a moulded eaves cornice. Both houses have sash windows with glazing bars in slightly projecting frames; Number 1 has moulded frames, and Number 3 has box-type frames. The entrance to Number 1 includes steps leading to a door with four fielded panels and two glazed panels, framed by a moulded wood architrave and topped with a cornice hood. Number 3 has steps leading to a plain door with a later gabled hood supported by brackets. Numbers 1 to 15 (odd) form a group.
