Description

This is a house and shop, dating to the 16th century, with later alterations. Originally a timber-framed building set at a right angle to the street, it now has a brick front dating to the late 19th century. The front features a canted oriel window on the first floor and a 20th-century shop front. The roof is covered in plain tiles and has a hipped form, with a boxed attic dormer. The interior has three bays; the bay furthest from the road was originally jettied on the south side. A red brick chimney stack, dating to the 17th or 18th century, is located between the front and middle bays. A small stair turret adjoins the building on the south side.
