Description
This building is a shop range, originally an inn, likely dating back to the medieval period. It features a timber frame construction. The front facade was rebuilt in the late 18th or early 19th century using painted brick, extending over the original structure of the adjacent building at the south end. The roof is covered with plain tiles. A parapet and band run above four segmental-headed windows on the first floor. The building has 20th-century glazing-bar casements and two 19th-century door openings, each with simple wooden frames and cut bracket hoods, though the shop windows are modern. A low carriageway, located at the north end of the building, reveals early exposed timbers.
