Description
The Country House Restaurant is an inn that has been converted into a restaurant. It dates from the 16th and 17th centuries and features a timber frame construction. The front of the building was painted brick and dates from the early 19th century. The structure consists of two bays and a single-bay south extension that includes a carriage arch; this extension has an imitation timber frame. The 16th-century framing is visible on the north wall of the carriageway. There are four first-floor windows, with the one above the door being blind and the other three featuring thin glazing bars. The entrance has a segmental-headed door flanked by 20th-century casements. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has a rebuilt ridge stack located above the door. At the rear, there is an extension that is weatherboarded and has a slate roof.
