Description
The Bull Public House is a public house that likely dates from the 17th century. It features a large timber frame structure with two impressive mid to late 17th century chimney stacks. The front, which was roughcast in the early 20th century, includes plaster ornamentation. The building has a plain tile roof and stands two storeys high, with seven recessed sash windows. There are two half-glazed doors that are topped with deep cornice hoods supported by heavy scrolled brackets. A deep Tuscan eaves cornice runs along the top. The large chimney stack on the left center has a square base with an oval brick panel and six grouped diagonal shafts, while the right stack has three square shafts arranged in a stepped plan. The front also features two large ornamental plaster sign panels.
